The project

FGI Alfalfa Seed Competitive Market Brief

A one-page visual market brief analyzing the forage seed competitive landscape, comparing two or three alfalfa seed brands on positioning, pricing tier, and key agronomic claims, with a short recommended messaging angle for a fictional FGI retailer campaign. This maps directly to the role's emphasis on market analysis, consumer insights, and developing marketing materials that help the sales team communicate value to retail partners.

  1. Research two competing alfalfa or forage seed brands (e.g., Pioneer, Dairyland) using their public websites and any available extension or co-op publications; extract their core marketing claims, target customer language, pricing tier signals, and any sustainability or yield messaging they emphasize, capture this in a simple comparison table in Google Docs or PowerPoint.
  2. Build a one-page visual brief in Google Slides or Canva that includes: the comparison table, a 3-5 sentence 'market gap' paragraph identifying what competitors are NOT saying that a farmer or retailer likely cares about (e.g., drought tolerance, tonnage guarantees, agronomist support), and a mock headline plus two supporting bullet points showing how FGI could own that gap in a campaign.
  3. Add a final section titled 'Recommended Retail Talking Points', three concise bullets written as if briefing an account manager before a sales call, demonstrating you can translate market insight into field-ready language, then set the document to public view-only sharing so a recruiter can open it with one link.

Questions

Do I need to know how to code?

No. For roles like this one, Provieo builds the project as a live case-study page: slides, tables and findings you fill in. You bring the thinking.

Where did this project come from?

Provieo read the Land O'Lakes posting and generated it on 2026-10-28. If you paste the same posting yourself you may get a different project, so two applicants don't show up with the same one.

Is Provieo connected to Land O'Lakes?

No. This is an independent project idea based on a public posting. It does not guarantee an interview.
