The project

Regional Bank Health Snapshot: A One-Page Analyst Brief

A polished, one-page analyst memo that benchmarks Huntington Bank against two regional banking peers across five key financial metrics (net interest margin, return on assets, efficiency ratio, loan growth, and deposit growth) using publicly available quarterly data, formatted exactly as an internal briefing document a junior analyst would hand to a senior manager. This maps directly to the role because it demonstrates the core skill Huntington's business interns use daily: pulling real financial data, making sense of it quickly, and communicating a clear takeaway to leadership.

  1. Pull the most recent quarterly figures for Huntington Bancshares (HBAN), Regions Financial (RF), and Fifth Third Bancorp (FITB) from their investor relations pages or FDIC public data, specifically net interest margin, return on assets, efficiency ratio, year-over-year loan growth, and year-over-year deposit growth, and organize them into a clean comparison table in a Google Doc or Word document formatted with a professional header, your name as 'Analyst,' and a date.
  2. Write a 150-200 word executive summary directly above the table that opens with a one-sentence 'bottom line up front' verdict on where Huntington stands relative to peers, then explains the two or three most interesting data points in plain business language a non-technical senior leader could act on, avoid jargon, make every sentence carry a point.
  3. Add a final section titled 'One Risk, One Opportunity' that uses the data to identify one metric where Huntington trails peers and frame it as a specific business risk, then identify one metric where Huntington leads and frame it as a competitive opportunity to press, keep it to two short paragraphs, then export the finished document as a PDF so a recruiter can open it in one click and read the whole thing in under 60 seconds.

Questions

Do I need to know how to code?

No. For roles like this one, Provieo builds the project as a live case-study page: slides, tables and findings you fill in. You bring the thinking.

Where did this project come from?

Provieo read the Huntington posting and generated it on 2026-10-22. If you paste the same posting yourself you may get a different project, so two applicants don't show up with the same one.

Is Provieo connected to Huntington?

No. This is an independent project idea based on a public posting. It does not guarantee an interview.
