Associate Clinical Account Specialist (ACAS) Intern: a project built for this posting

Within J&J MedTech's electrophysiology business, the intern works on projects such as simulated 3D mapping of heart arrhythmias, ablation biophysics, new product education and clinical EP lab operations. The eight-week program targets rising seniors and is meant to feed the full-time ACAS clinical program supporting the CARTO mapping system.

The project

Interactive Cardiac Arrhythmia Signal Visualizer

A browser-based tool that loads a sample ECG or electrophysiology dataset and renders an annotated, interactive waveform chart that highlights common arrhythmia patterns with clinical labels. This maps directly to the role's focus on simulated cardiac mapping, EP lab operations, and data science, and shows the recruiter both technical build skill and genuine domain interest.

  1. Download a small, freely available ECG CSV dataset (MIT-BIH Arrhythmia Database exports a clean 10-second sample); load it with Python pandas, identify at least two arrhythmia event timestamps marked in the annotation file, and store the signal array and event indices in a simple JSON file.
  2. Build a single-page HTML file that reads the JSON, draws the ECG waveform using Chart.js (loaded via CDN), and overlays vertical annotation lines with tooltip labels such as 'Premature Ventricular Contraction' and 'Normal Sinus Rhythm' at the correct sample positions, include a legend and a short one-paragraph clinical explanation below the chart.
  3. Add a dropdown or toggle that switches between at least two rhythm segments (e.g., normal vs. arrhythmic), smoothly re-rendering the chart and updating the clinical description text, so a recruiter can interact with it and immediately see the contrast between rhythm types without any prior medical knowledge.

Questions

Do I need to know how to code?

No. For roles like this one, Provieo builds the project as a live case-study page: slides, tables and findings you fill in. You bring the thinking.

Where did this project come from?

Provieo read the Johnson & Johnson posting and generated it on 2026-10-16. If you paste the same posting yourself you may get a different project, so two applicants don't show up with the same one.

Is Provieo connected to Johnson & Johnson?

No. This is an independent project idea based on a public posting. It does not guarantee an interview.
