What this role is really testing
The project
Sales Training Impact Dashboard (Mock Medical Device Program)
A one-page Excel or Google Sheets dashboard that tracks the simulated impact of a sales training program on rep performance across three regions, using made-up but realistic data to surface KPIs, trends, and a written recommendation. This maps directly to Alcon's stated project areas, defining KPIs, measuring training impact on commercial performance, and building automated reporting that supports business decisions.
- Create a dataset of 15–20 fictional sales reps across three regions (Northeast, South, West) with columns for: pre-training revenue, post-training revenue, training completion rate, and product line (e.g., contact lenses, surgical equipment). Add a '% revenue lift' column calculated automatically from the pre/post figures so the sheet updates if any input changes.
- Build a summary tab with four clearly labeled KPIs, average revenue lift by region, overall training completion rate, top-performing product line post-training, and number of reps who exceeded a 10% lift threshold. Use conditional formatting to highlight cells green/red based on whether each KPI hits a target you define, so a recruiter sees at a glance what's working and what isn't.
- Add a two-paragraph 'Executive Summary' text box directly on the dashboard tab that names the single biggest insight (e.g., 'The South region showed the highest lift at 18% despite the lowest completion rate, suggesting training content resonates more with that customer profile') and one concrete recommended action tied to it, written the way a business analyst would brief a VP, not a student would write a homework answer.

Questions
Do I need to know how to code?
No. For roles like this one, Provieo builds the project as a live case-study page: slides, tables and findings you fill in. You bring the thinking.
Where did this project come from?
Provieo read the Alcon posting and generated it on 2026-10-28. If you paste the same posting yourself you may get a different project, so two applicants don't show up with the same one.
Is Provieo connected to Alcon?
No. This is an independent project idea based on a public posting. It does not guarantee an interview.
